Earth Networks operates the most extensive lightning detection network, ENTLN – Earth Networks Total Lightning Network, with global coverage capable of detecting lightning strikes with high detection efficiency and location accuracy.
The ability to detect both cloud-to-ground and intracloud discharges, the so-called ‘total lightning’, allows the system to identify areas at risk of severe storms in high spatial and temporal resolution.
The monitoring and warning of lightning strikes and severe storms provided by the system with its derived algorithms can be received by customers through a data feed, or viewed directly in our Sferic Maps web tool.
