Scintillometers

Atmospheric turbulence measurement sensors

Scintec, founded in 1991, develops, manufactures and markets advanced atmospheric sensors using optical, radio wave and acoustic techniques. Customers include research institutes, government agencies, armed forces, airports and private industry around the world.

Its SODAR, RASS and WIINDRASS equipment is used in meteorology research and related sciences, environmental monitoring, air traffic safety, monitoring the dispersion of pollutants, wind energy, among others.

The optical sensors developed by Scintec, which measure atmospheric turbulence through the scintillation phenomenon, have a BLS (Large Aperture) line and another SLS (Laser) line that are applied in meteorology research and related sciences, environmental monitoring and monitoring the dispersion of pollutants, among others.
